Colonel Arthur D. Davis is the Chief of Staff, Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF South), Key West, Florida. JIATF South is a national task force which executes detection and monitoring of illicit traffickers in direct support of international and interagency law enforcement interdiction operations. JIATF South operations support U.S. National Security and international Regional stability Prior to this assignment, Colonel Davis served as Commander, 58th Operations Group, 58th Special Operations Wing, Air Education and Training Command, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. The 58th Operations Group trains mission-ready special operations, Personnel Recovery (PR), and airlift aircrews in the TH-1H, UH-1H, HH-60G, HC-130P/N, MC-130H, HC-130J, MC-130J, CV-22B, and corresponding simulators; provides Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training-Helicopter; conducts special operations and PR intelligence training; and responds to contingencies, humanitarian missions, and search and rescue missions.

Col Davis is a 1991 graduate of Auburn University earning his commission through the Air Force ROTC program. He has served on various joint and service staffs to include the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Air Staff, Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, and a Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force. His deployments include Operations DENY FLIGHT, DELIBERATE FORCE, and JOINT ENDEAVOR in Bosnia, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Col Davis is a Master Navigator with over 4,000 flight hours, including more than 750 combat hours as navigator on the EC-130E Airborne Battlefield Command and Control Center and AC-130H Gunship.

Col Davis' decorations include: 2012 Military Officers Association of America Award for Joint Service Warfare, Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Air Medal with seven oak leaf clusters, Aerial Achievement Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster and Air Force Combat Action Medal.
